WeMed Award 2024: applications are now open!

We’re thrilled to announce that you can now apply for the WeMed Award 2024.

This current fourth edition, funded by the SwitchMed Programme, is addressed to entrepreneurs or companies in the Blue Economy sector that have integrated environmental and social values into their business models, in addition to having developed an economically viable business model and that are constituted in a Southern Mediterranean country (Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Tunisia).

  • Category A: Early-Stage Entrepreneurs  
  • Category B: Growth-Stage Entrepreneurs  

In this fourth edition, there will be 2 prizes per category (1st. Gold Soft Landing services -valued at 10.000 €- and 2nd. Silver Soft Landing services -valued at 8.000 €-) given in the form of Soft Landing services (i.e. marketing support services and technical assistance, including travels to Europe and other Mediterranean Countries to connect, learn and discover new potential markets).

The WeMed Mediterranean Sustainability Award is one of the first awards aiming to recognize an inclusive transition to sustainability in the Mediterranean. The Mediterreanean faces a wide batch of environmental and social challenges. Climate change, biodiversity loss, rapid urbanization and increased resource consumption and waste are just a few of these challenges that require radical measures to confront.

Applications are open from the 26th of April to the 19th of May. You are invited to APPLY to get recognition and support for your project.

WeMed, the Mediterranean Sustainability Award, is a flagship initiative of the Mediterranean Strategy for Sustainable Development (MSSD), a strategic guiding document adopted by the Contracting Parties of the Barcelona Convention, for all stakeholders to translate the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at the regional, sub-regional and national levels of the Mediterranean region.
