Urban Transports is the second phase of the GO SUMP capitalisation project (2016-2019), which gathered seven territorial cooperation initiatives and more than 200 organisations implementing sustainable mobility solutions across 12 Euro Med Countries. The Urban Transports focuses on capitalising the knowledge and expertise of the low-carbon mobility solutions developed, tested or implemented under the GO SUMP. The project will support the replication of these solutions through a mentoring programme in 2021, and will foster the exchange of knowledge among local and regional governments and public and private mobility-related operators through training initiatives.

The Urban Transports partnership will mainstream its results and findings at local, regional, national and European scale and will advocate for the reckoning of the unique features of mobility planning in the Mediterranean area, enhancing its peculiarities and commonalities as a key to implement low carbon strategies. The mutual assistance among municipalities and metropolitan areas will be key for the successful permeability of the capitalization products designed, paving the way towards sustainable urban transports across the Mediterranean.
